   Read on to learn more about what makes The Nail Lounge a special place ~ what we do, how we do it, and why we really are worth all the fuss that’s being said about us ... (We're the best, but we're very humble about it!)

     We provide you with fabulously indulgent nail care while maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and sterilization available today. The Nail Lounge takes clean so seriously that we go above and beyond what the state of California requires for nail salons. Your safety always comes first!

We set ourselves apart from other nail salons by ensuring that every single stainless steel tool is scrubbed with soap and water, soaked in a germicidal cleaner, and then sterilized in a special dry heat-sterilization unit called an “Autoclave” between services.

• Autoclaving is the highest level of sterilization, and is standard procedure at dental and medical facilities in the U.S. (in accordance with AMA, FDA and EPA guidelines). We believe it should be for all nail salons too, but almost all other nail salons do not want to go to this great expense and they do not sterilize their tools in an autoclave. At The Nail Lounge we do because we believe your safety is worth it! All of us at The Nail Lounge would never consider getting our nails done unless we knew all the tools were sterilized in an autoclave first. It's just good common sense.

   As soon as the stainless steel tools are removed from the autoclave, they are sealed in disposable Sterilization Pouches to keep the tools clean and sterile.  These are the same sterilization pouches dentists use. Our sanitized tools are opened from their protective pouches when we begin your manicure or pedicure, and the pouches are thrown away.

• We only use brand new nail files, birchwood sticks, and foot file abrasives for each manicure and pedicure you receive ~ and after one use we throw them all away.

    At The Nail Lounge we don’t believe in, or use, “Spa Chairs” due to their alarming history of causing infections, skin irritations, and allergies. Spa Chairs and whirlpool type footbaths are a breeding ground for Microbacterium Fortuitum bacteria that cause boils and scarring on the legs. This is why in 2001 The Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta Georgia issued a warning against them. The truth is out there - and here it is!

    If you find yourself sitting in a spa chair somewhere, just ask yourself this question  ...  "Do I feel lucky today?  Well, do I?"

• We only use the award winning Belava Footbath Tubs fitted with a Belava Disposable Tub Liner that is thrown away after every warm soothing soak. This is the cleanest, safest, and most sanitary way for you to enjoy your pedicure.

    And if this wasn't enough ... At The Nail Lounge we don’t do acrylic nails. This makes our enviroment inside The Nail Lounge so much cleaner & safer. You can breath ~ we can breath! We like that ... and you will too!!!
